Our Story

Mission Matters

We partner exclusively with non-profits whose values align with our own.
It wasn’t always this way for Greg Fischer.

<Queue the VHS rewind graphic>

Before launching ChangeWeavers, Greg spent nearly a decade leading Executive Search at a nationally recognized Healthcare Recruitment Firm.

Greg and his peers prided themselves on their work and had a trophy case of awards to show for it, but he felt conflicted. Many clients put money before people, and Greg struggled with the trade he was making by advocating for them, prioritizing profits over purpose.

This wasn’t the case with all clients. The company regularly partnered with non-profits, and their leaders took-up residence at a soft spot in Greg’s heart. He admired the way that they faced a similar “devil’s bargain,” but chose a different path. They were ChangeWeavers, passing on the opportunity to earn big(ger) bucks in the for-profit space to provide support and care for an underserved community.

From this inner conflict, ChangeWeavers was born.

Our Founder

Greg Fischer

After a decade of living in Los Angeles, Greg felt like a pine tree in a papaya farm: out of place. In 2022 he joined the Californian exodus to Colorado (very late to the party) and hasn’t looked back.

He now lives in Evergreen, CO with his 4-legged sidekick, Willow, and when he isn’t recruiting non-profit executives, typically cannot be found. That’s because he’s as far from digital devices as he can be: climbing something… anything (a jaunt up the 2nd Flatiron is the key to his heart), hunting for a perfect vintage “piece” in Denver, at a folk concert (Goldhill Inn is a hidden gem… shhhh), or making the most of his Ikon Pass (he claims he’ll someday “join the dark side and go Epic”).
